ABOUT THE ONTARIO FAMILY PRACTICE NURSES

Objectives and Goals:

  1. To represent the interest of nurses concerned with family practice.
  2. To promote the quality of family practice nursing by providing mechanisms for the exchange of knowledge and information
  3. To provide up-to-date information relevant to family practice nursing to improve the knowledge base
  4. To provide a forum for networking
  5. To discuss common concerns in the area of family practice nursing
  6. To act as nurse resource for individuals or groups on issues concerning family practice nursing

 

Membership:

Membership in the group is open to all nurses with an interest in family practice/primary care nursing. A member receives newsletters and notices of meetings; is offered opportuntities to participate in educational workshops and events; and is eligible to vote for the election of the executive and other issues as they arise.

 

Fee:

A membership fee is due annually before November 1.

 

Affiliation:

The Family Practice Nurses Group is now an Associate Interest Group of the RNAO.
